The Ayckbourn Collection

A selection of objects from The Ayckbourn Collection, a recent donation of significant items relating to Sir Alan Ayckbourn, his mentor Stephen Joseph, theatre in the round and their contribution to Scarborough’s cultural heritage and history.

Scarborough Museums thanks Sir Alan and Lady Ayckbourn for their generous gift; Simon Murgatroyd, for his donation and the dedicated assistance he has provided to enable this collection to come to Scarborough; and Gary Brannan, Keeper of Archives and Research Collections at the Borthwick Institute for Archives, for his continued support.

Admission Prices
£3 Annual Pass – admission to both Scarborough Art Gallery and the Rotunda Museum

Free – Under 18s and registered carers.

There is step free access to and around the ground floor of the gallery.

This exhibition is located on the ground floor of the gallery.

Toilets are located on the first floor and are accessed via stairs. There is no lift to the first floor. There is an accessible toilet next door, a short distance away, at Woodend Gallery and Studios.
