A display of cleaned and conserved paintings by John Atkinson Grimshaw (1836-1893), a Leeds-born artist best known for his nocturnal and urban landscapes. The conservation of the paintings has been generously funded by the former Friends of Scarborough Museums and they’re currently on display in the ‘Friends Gallery’ at Scarborough Art Gallery.
