Join us for a screening of classic film Citizen Kane, which tells the story of the investigation of a publishing tycoon’s dying words reveals conflicting stories about his scandalous life. Errol Francis, contributing artist to From Local To Global, will give an introduction to the film framed around the idea of collecting, and how it acts as a reference point to the exhibition text he wrote, ‘Citizen James.’

The event will take place in the ‘Friends Gallery’ at Scarborough Art Gallery, currently displaying Grimshaw’s Scarborough.

This room is on the ground floor of the gallery with step free access from the front door to the room.

Sitwell by Eat Me café at Woodend (next door) will be open from 10am-4pm. 

There will be a designated room at Scarborough Art Gallery for visitors who might require a quiet space to sit.
