We’re really sorry, but the Grimshaw exhibition in the Art Gallery and the West Wing of the Rotunda Museum are currently closed due to water leaks following recent heavy rainfall. We’re working to open them again as soon as possible – thanks for your understanding.

A Space To Be

Please note: this social story includes out of date information. At 1:14 the opening times should read Tuesday 10 – 12 and 1 – 3. We are working on updating this video.

Space to Be opened in April 2022, as a community space within Scarborough Art Gallery. The space aims to offer a warm welcome to all visitors.

This year-long project will support Scarborough Museums and Galleries to become a more democratic, inclusive and relevant space for everyone. We will work collaboratively with local community groups to develop the space, with a real focus on community wellbeing.

You’re invited to visit on Tuesdays between 10am – 12noon and 1 – 3pm, for one of our informal drop-in sessions.

During these sessions, you are welcome to pop in to explore the space and learn more about the project from our Space to Be team.
